The
simulated fields are generally
similar
in structure and are
reasonably
consistent with the
observations.
A major exception is
the
lower nearsurface S in the interior
subtropical
gyre for the HYCOM
K-T
MICOM mode simulation. This
is
associated with the westward
displacement
of the region of large
salinity
in the subtropical gyre
relative
to the location in other
HYCOM
simulations and in
observations
that was documented
in
earlier slides.
