This directory contains compressed subdirectories (organized by ship and month) which contain the SAMOS netCDF source files for the SAMOS S02 v08 IMMA1 dataset submitted to NCAR for inclusion in ICOADS Release 3.0. The directories were compressed using tar then gzip. 

A subset of data from each ship and month in the SAMOS dataset from 2005 through 2014 are included in this dataset with the exception of the following (excluded based on errors with data translation):

NOTE: A dataset for each ship and month from 2005-2014 will not exist for each ship. Being research vessels, they are often laid up for periods between cruises which may exceed one month. Directories included are only those for months, years, and ships with available SAMOS observations.
